Following our appointment in July 2013, design of the new Halal Meat Slaughtering Facility for Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Ltd (FFBL) of Pakistan is progressing well.

 

The project has been given the green light by the Government of Sindh’s Environmental Protection Agency following an Environmental Impact Assessment and Public Hearing held in December 2013.

 

Tendering of equipment suppliers is almost complete with tendering of the main civil contract currently underway. Fellow Irish company G&M Steel Fabricators Ltd from Co. Louth have been selected as the main meat processing equipment supplier for the meat processing facility.

 

The Project will encompass a modern state-of-the-art Halal Meat Slaughtering Facility with the objective of processing high quality meat, value added products and by-products. The proposed facility shall be constructed near Port Bin Qasim, Karachi.
